A NICE, LONG SERVED WW1 CAPTAINS TUNIC. WITH CUFF RANK PANELS TO THE SLEEVES, THE RANK PIPS REMOVED AS PER LATER WW1 ORDERS TO HELP PREVENT SO MANY OFFICERS BEING PICKED OFF BY SNIPERS. THE ORIGINAL OWNER THEN HAS PIPS ADDED TO HIS SHOULDER STRAPS AS PER NEW REGULATIONS. THEN AT A LATER STAGE, HE HAS THE SHOULDER STRAPS PROFESSIONALLY REMOVED AND SEWN UP, KEEPING THE STRAPS IN HIS TOP POCKETS. THIS IS THOUGHT TO HAVE BEEN DONE FOR EASE OF WEARING EQUIPMENT IN THE FIELD. 36 INCH CHEST. A VERY SMALL WEAR HOLE TO THE LEFT SLEEVE AND SOME WEAR TO THE LINING, BUT GENERALLY IN VERY GOOD CLEAN CONITION
